We are a Southern Baptist Church averaging 2,600 in weekly worship attendance. Each week we hold nine worship services across three campuses, offering English, Spanish, and Korean-speaking services. POSITION OVERVIEW

The Kids Ministry Associate will assist the Kids Pastor in fostering spiritual growth and biblical discipleship for children in grades 1-5. This role bridges the discipleship process from Preschool Ministry to Student Ministry, in alignment with FBR’s mission and discipleship pathway: Come – Connect – Grow – Serve – Go. The Kids Ministry Associate will help cultivate a vibrant ministry that leads to both spiritual depth and numerical growth.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader and passionate communicator, called to reach and disciple children and families—both within the church and in the broader community. The Kids Ministry Associate is someone who:

• Is called to Kids Ministry and loves working with children.
• Demonstrates a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Maintains a healthy family life and exhibits a teachable spirit.
• Displays flexibility, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of life and ministry.
• Embraces the mission, vision, and DNA of First Baptist Rogers.
• Is personally and professionally evangelistic.
• Handles conflict in a biblical and redemptive manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a dynamic communicator and teacher, grounded in a historical-grammatical understanding of Scripture and in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd LIFE Group volunteers for the Kids Ministry.
• Provide biblical counseling and spiritual guidance to children.
• Foster relationships with children and parents, ensuring regular communication about ministry events and opportunities.
• Assist the Kids Pastor in planning and executing special events, including Vacation Bible School (VBS), Kids Camp, Mission Trips, and more.
• Support and participate in Upward Sports programs.
• Equip and encourage parents in their role as the primary spiritual leaders of their children.
• Assume direct leadership and operational responsibility for the Kids Ministry when the Kids Pastor is absent.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Education, Christian Ministry, or similar preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in Kids Ministry within a church setting.
• Basic administrative and budgeting skills.
