STATUS: This position is considered full-time exempt. The approximate schedule includes regular weekday hours and availability for occasional after-hours emergencies. 

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: 
To provide facilities leadership and support under the direction of the Facilities Director by managing maintenance operations, ensuring the church facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role facilitates opportunities for the church membership and staff to effectively utilize facilities for ministry and mission, while upholding the values and mission of First Baptist Rogers. 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. 

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance projects and preventive maintenance schedules. 

  • Skilled in overseeing contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and facility upgrades. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to facility-related emergencies effectively. 

  • A calling to serve God in a church staff position, specifically in operations and facilities management. 

  • Confess to be a born-again Christian and to have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. 

  • Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. 

  • Accept the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention without reservation. 

  • Agree to the Code of Conduct of First Baptist Church of Rogers. 

  • Manifest, by daily example, the highest Christian virtue, serving as a Christian role model both in and out of church. 

  • Become a member of and faithfully attend and support First Baptist Rogers. 

 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operational for all church events and activities. 

  • Manage a team of maintenance staff and volunteers, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews. 

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems. 

  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and facility improvements, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. 

  • Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules in compliance with church policies and local regulations. 

  • Respond to facility-related emergencies promptly and effectively to minimize disruptions. 

  • Work closely with ministry leaders to ensure facilities meet the needs of church programs and events. 

  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols for all facilities-related operations. 

  • Steward the church's resources wisely by managing the facilities budget and purchasing supplies effectively.
