First Academy is a growing Christian school in Rogers that currently hosts PK3-6th grade with plans to continue to grow into middle and high school. FA provides a great educational experience that prepares students to take their knowledge and faith in Christ into a world void of the Truth of Christ. Salary and Schedule
- full-time, salaried position with retirement and benefits available
- Schedule is M-F 7:30-3:30 August to May, and part-time summer hours as needed.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree
• DHS Certification & Required Training
Experience
• 3 years or more of classroom experience
• Prior administrative experience required

• Credible profession of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ
• Godly character (pastoral and other character references may be required)
• Membership and regular attendance including life group at First Baptist Rogers
• Understanding of the school’s mission and supportive of the philosophy and pedagogy practices
• Maturity and emotional stability
• Heart for children, ability to interact with and lead children, strong desire to see children learn well, to know God and to love God
Job Responsibilities
• Displays to students genuine love for God, Scripture and learning
• Prays for staff and students daily
• Assists teaching staff in development of teaching schedule on a daily, weekly, trimester and yearly basis
• Identifies curriculum needs and ensures staff is trained and implementing curriculum plans daily
- Assists in determining supply needs
• Informally assesses staff on an annual basis
• Assists school administrator in developing and implementing policies in handbook
• Supports teaching staff in behavior management and communicates with parents as needed
• Respects the confidentiality of students, families and colleagues by using the highest degree of discretion in communication
• Ensures staff has proper certification and training, per DHS requirements
• Contributes to consistent school-parent communication
• Contributes to a cooperative and collegial atmosphere among teachers and staff
• Participates in training and other meetings and initiatives
• Respects and upholds school policies and standards delineated in faculty policies, student handbooks and in faculty training
• Follows Matthew 18:15-17 model for handling conflicts
• Performs teaching and non-teaching tasks with attention to quality, detail, timeliness and professionalism
• Assists in the planning and managing of special events and field trips
• Develops and maintains mentorship of new staff and those needing additional support
• Performs other necessary tasks as requested from school administrator
