12-14 hours/week (Monday AND Thursday, 8:15-2:15)

*Exceptions include Interns and students

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Physically able to move from floor/chair to standing, lift a minimum of 25 lbs., and be capable of keeping young children safe and cared for according to First Baptist Rogers Preschool Ministry policies and procedures.
  • Complete Background Check, Awareness Training, and Orientation Training, including Mandatory Reporter and CPR/First Aid trainings.
  • Attend scheduled Kids’ Day Out trainings and meetings.
  • Attend 10 hours of training per year.
  • Pray for the children in your class.
  • Always know the number of children in your care.
  • Always remain in the classroom when children are under your supervision, and never leave children unattended in the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with parents.
  • Guide learning activities from the provided KDO lesson plans. All activities, crafts and class materials will be prepared in advance by the Curriculum Coordinator in a tub available at the beginning of the week.
  • Teach the Bible lessons in a creative way so that children will learn and grow in their faith.
  • Serve the provided snacks, assist with lunches.
  • Follow the program accepted discipline policy and notify Administrator when problems occur.
  • Leave your classroom clean, neat, and in good condition after teaching, according to the classroom closing procedures.
  • Follow the guidelines of the Cell Phone and Social Media Policy.
  • Notify the Administrator as soon as possible of an absence.
