HOURS: Monday through Thursday; 8AM-5PM; 35-40 hours per week (approximately) 

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION  Responsible to the Executive Pastor of Discipleship to provide ministerial support to all Discipleship Teams. 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Basic office skills (making copies, sending emails, answering phone calls) 

  • Knowledge of Touch Point or similar church database ministry program 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) 

  • A calling to serve God in a church staff position 

  • Flexibility 

  • Works well with others 

  • Confess to be a born-again Christian and to have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord 

  • Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God 

  • Accept FBR's Statement of Faith without reservation 

  • Manifest by daily example the highest Christian virtue serving as a Christian role model both in and out of church 

  • Demonstrate and uphold the core values of First Baptist Rogers: Christ-likeness, family, church, educational excellence, service, and stewardship 

  • Become a member of and faithfully attend and support First Baptist Rogers 

 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Provide ministerial support to the Discipleship Team, and more specifically to the 

Executive Pastor of Discipleship Ministries 

  • Oversee Discipleship Team Ministry Assistants 

  • Manage New Discipleship Staff Hiring Process 

  • Manage various software programs for the Discipleship Team 

  • Maintain Discipleship Team Calendars 

  • Assist in the management of the Student Leadership Academy  

  • Assist in the management of the Church’s Safety Team 

  • Serve as a Notary 

  • Other duties as assigned to facilitate effective ministry and to fulfill the mission of the church. 

  • Under the direction of Pastors and Ministry Leaders, assist in the education of the members of the church in the faith by inculcating teachings of the faith and training members to live out their faith and fulfill the mission of the church to make disciples of all nations.
