STATUS: This position is considered full time, non-exempt. Schedule is Sunday -Thursday or Monday-Friday.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: To provide leadership and support as a Visual Designer under the direction of the Department manager by developing and implementing visual design and branding that meet the needs of church ministries, facilitate opportunities for the church membership to engage in ministry, and promote the ministry and mission of the church. 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Ability to effectively achieve tasks and goals in a timely manner by understanding and project lead times and production capabilities

• Ability to recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers

• Ability to learn CMS for web maintenance, page creation, content updates, and development

• Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to collaborate across multiple departments

• Experience developing visual designs and branding initiatives to achieve communications, marketing, and/or digital strategies

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or related field • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Strong self-management skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and able to receive feedback and instruction well

• Interest in photography is a plus • Ability to freehand design is a plus

• A calling to serve God in a church staff position

• Confess to be a born-again Christian and to have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

• Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God

• Accept the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention without reservation

• Agree to the Code of Conduct of First Baptist Church of Rogers

• Manifest, by daily example, the highest Christian virtue serving as a Christian role model both in and out of church

• Become a member of and faithfully attend and support First Baptist Rogers

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide leadership and support to the Department manager in the development and implementation of digital and print assets, branding initiatives, ministry support, and website content creation and maintenance.

• Design a variety of content, including but not limited to sermon series, signage, print materials, shirts, social media, website, etc.

• Other duties as assigned to facilitate effective ministry and to fulfill the mission of the church.
